2013 Christmas Party and Annual Club Awards at Tom and Karen Peter's home  !
For the second year running Tom and Karen hosted the club Christmas Party and Annual Club Awards. All expectations were once again exceeded. Tom and Karen welcomed a record 63 revelers into their beautiful home. There were no less than 35 bottles of Single Malt on the bar and there was a fabulous selection of food, including a wonderful beef tenderloin prepared by Charlie and Linda Markel and salmon prepared by Tony and Frances Lancelot. Words can not really do justice to the event or describe what great hosts Tom and Karen were, so please enjoy some of Anna's photos from the evening which are in the slideshow below. Some brief highlights :
  • It is exactly a year ago that we toasted for a speedy recovery of John Lestage. It was wonderful to have John and Pam with us and in such good health this evening.
  • The coveted Highland Warrior award for attending the most meetings was won again by Tony Caruso
  • The David Livingstone award for missionary work on behalf of the club by Kris Bierbaum
  • Tom and Karen Peter received the Happy-Ness and Pretty-Ness awards.
  • The "Drunken-Ness" award remained on the Christmas Tree
  • Gary Christensen was recognized with the never to be repeated Mary Queen of Scots "Single Malt" award
  • The "I don't like single malt" award went to John Squires for regular participation at monthly meetings
  • Matt Orr was recognized as being our newest member present.
  • Dale Whitney was recognized with the "Scotland the Brave" award for outstanding music playlist selection
  • Club members presented very nice gifts to Tom and Karen to thank them for being such gracious hosts.
  • John and Susan Squires were kind enough to offer to host the 2014 Christmas Party
  • Graeme and Anna's recent naturalization as U.S. citizens was recognized with a gift given by Ellyce Brenner and Joe Barrera
